  • Community service Projects
  • Student Coalition for Hunger
  • Decentralized web management
  • Remedial coaching programmes
  • Issue of Health Cards to students
  • Using mobile phones for learning
  • One minute tests and surprise tests
  • Computerization of each department
  • Inter-departmental sharing of resources
  • Cluster of institutions sharing resources
  • College faculty visiting student residence
  • Setting up institutional knowledge repository
  • Spiritual development programme for students
  • Setting up of a Placement Cell in each department
  • Making use of technology for instructional purpose
  • Consortium of colleges that permits inter-library loan
  • Dummy patent registration at each college/ university
  • Making use of a content management system like MOODLE
  • Making available data bases of Case Studies to benefit others
  • Getting students to review new books that arrive in the library
  • Giving coaching in Spoken English in institutions in rural areas
  • Setting up international collaboration for teaching and learning
  • Students creation of a Virtual Book shelf .. a kind of resource tagging.
  • Starting of adhoc diploma and certificate courses for students and the community.
  • Taking feedback of students every day on every topic taught  through the use of online support and special software.
  • As a participatory democratic approach have student assess the performance of teachers .
  • Introduction of a Best Reader award based on the critical commentary of  a book read and the number of books read  by the student.
  • Conducting  Academic Audit to assess performance of the teachers and the programmes each year.
  • Regularly collecting feedback from the stakeholders which include parents, alumni, students and the community for refining the effectiveness of  the syllabus.
  • For any programme follow PIME ,ie; Planning , Implementation, Monitoring and finally Evaluation.
  • Maintaining of a Teacher’s Diary and a Students Diary which help the Principal to cross check the teacher’s claim of teaching.
  • Earn while you learn programme for PG students… Teaching in Certificate Course Programmes offered by the college.
  • Some areas for innovative practices include: Changing criteria for teacher selection, student selection, quality of research, management of institutions, the nature of society and institution interaction.
